At Enterprise Connect 2011 conference in Orlando, Skype announced a strategic partnership with Citrix Systems, a global leader in virtual computing and Web collaboration.

In early October of this year, one of the largest conferences in the field of innovation in information technology was held outside the United States and hosted in Europe for the first time during this year’s “Citrix Synergy Berlin.” The attention this conference attracted best speaks by saying that tickets were sold out nearly a month before the event!

Datatek has recently carried out another computer system consolidation project that includes server virtualization at the Pančevo Waterworks.

During this summer, Datatek completed another project funded by the European Union, the National Employment Service. In order to improve operations of documents of unemployed persons stored in a secure electronic format, the project involved the implementation of a document management system on a virtualized server platform, as well as using an advanced data storage solution.

This partner status for Datatek represents a logical continuation of knowledge and services in the field of security computer systems, bearing in mind Gemalto’s global leadership role in the field of electronic data and Smart Card technology.

Citrix Systems, Inc. today announced that Citrix® XenDesktop™ 4 has been selected as the virtualization award winner for the 2010 Best of Interop Awards.

At the end of March this year, Citrix and Microsoft have joined forces in order to jointly promote desktop virtualization, clearly showing users that desktop virtualization can much more than a VDI solution.
